Low Profile Dome Light from Bovema
Bovema are pleased to announce the introduction of their new range of low cost, low profile dome lights.
The current tendency towards deep plan buildings has created a need for good quality dome lights at competitive prices. To meet this need Bovema have designed a new range of dome lights.
To comply with the latest health and safety standards the new range has been tested to ensure they are man safe and people cannot fall through the unit when closed.
The dome light range are all based on a similar rigid aluminium base construction and there are three variations available, the domelight, the ventlight and the smokelight.
The domelight is a fixed permanently closed unit which can be installed in a simple manner onto a new or existing builders work upstand. The design allows for thermally insulated or thermally insulated and thermally broken constructions.
The ventlight is similar to the domelight but has separate hinged dome fixed to the base construction. To allow for daily ventilation. The operation can be by means of a hand winder mechanism, an electric actuator or a pneumatic actuator. The ventlight is not suitable for smoke ventilation.
The smokelight is a brand new smoke ventilator, one of the first to be designed from inception to meet the requirements of the new European Standard EN12101-2. To achieve compliance the smokelight top flap opens to an angle of 165º.
The basic construction is from corrosion resistant aluminium formed to produce a rigid but very low profile and cost effective ventilator.
All types of dome lights are available in a range of sizes from 1000mm x 1000mm to a maximum of 2000mm x 2000mm. The insulated construction provides high thermal resistance to conserve energy units with a minimum U value (K) of only 1.5W/m2 for fully insulated units.
The top of the dome is stretched over the profiled internal load bearers to form a gently curved top surface. This sheds water and minimises dirt build up and the formation of algae.
The new Bovema dome light range provides a range of attractive low cost alternatives for new installations or refurbishment projects.
